Ryuichi Sakamoto aimed for a high-tech, techno-universal ethnic music by thoroughly utilizing the Fairlight CMI to create artificial, beautiful folk music, incorporating Arto Lindsay's noisy guitar at key points, all blended together into a formless sound. With its recent re-evaluation as electronic and avant-garde music, this work is considered a significant part of Sakamoto's career, and he himself lists it as one of his favorites.
