An early key release by Terre Thaemlitz as DJ Sprinkles, issued on Comatonse Recordings in 1998. Hazy ambience meets deeply submerged house grooves, and the aesthetic that would come to define Sprinkles, deep house as a medium for memory and social critique, is already fully present. The title pays tribute to the transsexual clubs of New York's 42nd Street lost to redevelopment, and the 13-minute "Terre's Neu Wuss Fusion" is especially deep and experimental. In light of the current reappraisal of Sprinkles, a cult deep house record of real musical and historical value.
