This is the 2003 remastered version of "Awade," a masterpiece of NY deep house left by Instant House, a group featuring Joe Claussell and Stan Hatzakis, in the early 1990s. The spiritual groove woven from African vocals, deeply sinking bass, and ethereal chimes is excellent. It's one of NY house's foremost classics, and can be seen as the origin of Joe Claussell's musical vision.
