An album released by Columbia on October 1, 1969, by Moondog, an eccentric known for standing in the streets of New York wearing his own Viking costume. Recorded at Columbia's main studio with Moondog conducting 50 musicians. Composed of songs Moondog wrote in the 1950s and '60s during his transition from jazz convention to classical composer, it combines classical influences with elements criticized as minimal and third-stream music. It has become a thing.
