"Corações Futuristas" is a unique work by Brazilian music innovator Egberto Gismonti. An experimental album that intertwines the roots of folk music, avant-garde compositional techniques, and future-oriented sounds using synthesizers. While incorporating Brazilian rhythms and melodies, the melodies are fragmented and the structure abstracted. The sound, in which lyricism and intellect coexist while maintaining a sense of tension, transcends the boundaries of fusion and world music and steps into the realm of experimental/art music.
