A single thirty-seven minute piece recorded on 24 November 1971 at A&R Recording in New York, split here across two sides. Cecil McBee and Stanley Clarke play bass together; Billy Hart and Norman Connors play drums together. Marvin “Hannibal” Peterson on trumpet, Carlos Garnett on tenor saxophone, Joe Bonner on piano, Lawrence Killian on congas, talking drum and balafon. Sanders plays balafon as well as tenor. This copy is the 1997 Impulse! reissue, 180g in a gatefold sleeve, supervised by Michael Cuscuna and remastered by Ron McMaster.
