"Back To The One" and "Give It Back" are both excellent tracks that incorporate the raw feel of jazz/funk into NY house grooves. The tight structure, which includes vocals and instrumentals, and the underground sensibility characteristic of 90s NY, are appealing. This record captures the intersection of jazz and the dance floor, unique to Vinylmania Jazz, which continued with "Whiplash."
