Cadaques Connexió was a guitar duo — Juan Fornells and Miquel Ferroni — with Dani Forcada on percussion, and Llum De Nit their 1988 album for H.F.F. Records. Pieces by M. Estivill that take their names from the Cadaqués coast ("Aires De Cadaqués", "Sa Conca", "Escucurucú") alternate with jazz standards: Cedar Walton's "Ugetsu", Wayne Shorter's "Speak No Evil" and "Green Dolphin St.", the last with Max Suñé sitting in on guitar. The record closes on Federico Mompou's "L'Ocell Trist", a brief coda with Albert Mas on guitar. A small-group Catalan session joining a Mediterranean fishing town to modern jazz repertoire, and one that rarely surfaces.
