Brothers Charlie and Richie Ingui, both New Yorkers, gave Kenny Gamble and Leon Huff their first hit when "Expressway To Your Heart" went top five in 1967. The Soul Survivors split, re-formed in 1972 and returned to Gamble & Huff for this 1974 album. The Ingui brothers trade lead vocals over MFSB strings and horns, with Larry Washington on congas and arrangements mostly by John Davis. Bobby Martin arranged "City Of Brotherly Love", the group's last R&B chart entry and a tribute to their adopted city. Blue-eyed soul set squarely inside the Philly sound of the mid-'70s. This is a Spanish pressing on the Philadelphia International label; the US original appeared on TSOP.
