Albert Ayler's quartet recorded in Copenhagen on 14 September 1964, with Don Cherry on cornet, Gary Peacock on bass and Sunny Murray on drums — the session first issued by the Danish label Debut as "Ghosts". The same piece appears twice, at two minutes on A1 and eight on B1, so the hymn-like theme can be heard coming apart at two lengths. Murray keeps no beat, holding time on sustained cymbals, while Peacock moves underneath without losing pitch. On "Vibrations" the tenor and cornet take the same line slightly apart.
