Recorded in Paris on 14 August 1969 and issued the same year in BYG's Actuel series. The A-side has Archie Shepp on tenor saxophone and voice, Burton Greene on piano, Alan Silva on bass, Claude Delcloo on drums and Philly Joe Jones on timpani. On the B-side Hank Mobley joins on tenor, Grachan Moncur III on trombone, Malachi Favors on bass and Vince Benedetti on piano, with Shepp also at the piano. That side is a single nineteen-minute-fifty stretch taking in Sonny Rollins's "Oleo". Sleeve notes by Philippe Carles.
