Mr. Wollogallu is a collaboration between Carlos Maria Trindade and Nuno Canavarro, released in Portugal in 1991. The two, who had both been active in the Portuguese pop/rock scene in the 1980s, met through manager Antonio Cunha and this was their first full-scale collaboration. Conceived and recorded over time in a home studio in the early 1990s, the album is credited to Carlos on side A and Nuno on side B, but in reality they were deeply involved in the production of each other's work.
Although difficult to understand at the time, it was later reevaluated in the context of electronic music history, and in 2000 it was recognized as one of the most important works of Portuguese electronic music. The abstract soundscape, which blends acoustic and electronic sounds, has a mysterious depth that evokes maps, travel, and landscapes. It is a record that was ahead of its time, capturing the creative moment when the two artists intersected.
