Dalto Roberto Medeiros, from Niterói, on Odeon in 1984. A singer and guitarist who started out in rock with Os Lobos in the early seventies and had been releasing solo records since 1974, trained on classical guitar but working here within the studio-pop production of Brazil at the time. "Bordel Da Zona Sul" appears as I and II on A2 and B6, bracketing twelve tracks built around the five-minute mark, among them "Billie Holiday", "Vênus" and "Mística". MPB as the foundation, run through pop-rock and new wave textures — a record from the turn in Brazilian sound in the eighties.
