Recorded by Egberto Gismonti as a duo with Naná Vasconcelos and issued by ECM in 1977. Jan Erik Kongshaug engineered in Oslo in November 1976, with Manfred Eicher producing. Gismonti moves between eight-string guitar, wooden flutes, piano and voice; Naná answers with percussion, berimbau, his own body and his voice. The A-side runs six fragments together; the B-side holds four pieces from "Tango" to "Dança Solitária". ECM's first real move into Brazilian music, and the point where the label's recording philosophy met Brazilian instrumental playing. West German pressing.
