Harry Thumann was a German composer, producer and engineer who also designed synthesizers and studio equipment, and helped develop the SSL 4000 console. His second solo album, Andromeda, came out on Hansa International in 1983, and the credits leave no doubt whose record it is: Thumann composed, arranged, wrote, produced and engineered it all, recording and mixing at his own Country Lane Studios near Munich. The 7:48 title track opens the album, and side B runs through "Bitch", "Paris 1944" and "Sphinx". It followed American Express (1979), home of "Underwater". Andromeda was only ever issued on vinyl and has never been reissued.
