Jah Shaka, the South London sound-system man, and Ariwa's Mad Professor split this 1984 album a side each. Side A is five Shaka dubs, composed and produced by him, with Shaka himself on bass and percussion: stripped grooves, heavy and hand-played, stacked with drums. Side B is produced and mixed by Mad Professor and leans into texture — feedback, digital echo — with "People Of Yaruba" letting the guitar ripple through the delay and bringing in steel pan and violin. Two approaches to UK dub, one on each side. A later pink-label repress.
