"Mystical Adventures" is a 1982 album by Jean-Luc Ponty, a leading French jazz/fusion violinist. It combines the synthesizer-heavy fusion sound of the early '80s with Ponty's signature flowing, speedy violin playing. The rhythms are tight and technical without being overly rigid, and the driving force of the melody is at the forefront. This excellent album is also considered to mark the transition from '70s fusion to the electronic era of the '80s.
