Two concerts given by the pianist Joachim Kühn and the guitarist Jan Akkerman in 1978, one to a side — Kiel on the A, Stuttgart on the B. The same material, "Santa Barbara", is played twice at different lengths, fifteen and twenty minutes. Akkerman uses a Gibson doubleneck and guitar synthesiser, Kühn nothing but an acoustic grand. Akkerman after Focus and Kühn from the European free jazz side, meeting at the smallest possible scale and improvising against each other. Issued by the small German label Sandra Music in 1979.
