Joan Bibiloni, born in Manacor in 1952 and self-taught on guitar, came up in the Deià circle on Mallorca and played with Pau Riba, Kevin Ayers and Daevid Allen before turning to his own records. This 1987 double LP on Blau collects his original music for the TV series Silencio Roto. Bibiloni wrote everything and handles guitar, synth and percussion, with Juan Carlos Mendoza on bass, Miquel Figuerola on drums, José Robles and Ruben Andreu on keys, Jordi Mauri on clarinet and sax, Nando González on mandolin. Short cues of one or two minutes alternate with longer pieces like the seven-minute "Bajo El Azul" and "Easy Walk", and side D opens with "Waltz For Lyle & Pat", its dedication in the title. Twenty-three tracks of soft-focus fusion drifting toward ambient.
