Recorded by Marion Brown at Generation Sound Studios in New York in February 1975 for ABC Impulse!. Stanley Cowell and Anthony Davis divide the keyboards, with Reggie Workman on bass and two drummers including Ed Blackwell. Harold Budd joins on celesta and gong, and contributes writing. A2 takes up Stevie Wonder's "Visions", and Brown's alto works towards layered short phrases rather than extended solos. On the near-ten-minute "Djinji" keyboards and percussion build in layers, with ensemble weight ahead of any single voice. Spiritual jazz heard from the ensemble side.
