This 1989 Factory release is a reinterpretation, as the title suggests, of New Order's "Run" from their *Technique* era. The track sees light guitar, Peter Hook's melodic bass, and Bernard Sumner's understated vocals intertwine, masterfully blending New Order's identity as a rock band with their strong leanings towards club music at the time. The Extended Version further stretches this groove, while the B-side "MTO" shifts to machine funk influenced by acid house.
