This is a 2002 release featuring Masters At Work (aka "Little" Louie Vega & Kenny "Dope" Gonzalez) remixing Nina Simone's classic "See-Line Woman," originally recorded in 1964. Centered around the powerful vocals and repetitive percussion of the original, MAW expanded it into a heavy house groove with their signature Afro/Latin sensibility, resulting in an over 10-minute long mix. It masterfully reconstructs the track for club music without losing the primitive power of the original. This is a particularly iconic piece among MAW's works that connect jazz/soul with NY house, and it includes Nina Simone's original on the B-side.
