"Getting Up" (1982), an early career single by Pigbag, an important UK post-punk/dance-funk band. This single, which opened their first album, clearly defined Pigbag's direction. Repetitive grooves centered on bass and horns are intertwined with rhythms derived from dub and Afro, vividly blending post-punk experimentation with club-oriented physicality. This is an important work that marked the band's starting point. Includes the 12" only Long Version.
