Recorded at Variety Studio, the same studio where the masterpiece "SLEEPING BEAUTY" ("Door of the Cosmos") was recorded and released by Saturn in 1979. Given the various comings and goings of Arkestra members, the recording date is set as June 1979. These three tracks were sold to Rounder in 1980 and released on LP, but Sun Ra released "Springtime Again," "Door of the Cosmos," and "Sleeping Beauty" through Saturn, keeping those three tracks.
