Recorded by the bassist Takashi Mizuhashi at A&R Recording Studio in New York on 22 February 1977, with Teruo Nakamura also on bass and Bruno Carr on drums. Five pieces of eight to ten minutes, among them the ten-and-a-half-minute "Samba De Negrito" and a seven-and-a-half-minute reading of "Cantalope Island". A Japanese bassist assembling New York players and recording on the spot — one of the larger line-ups in the Denon Jazz catalogue. This copy is a white-label promo.
