The Portuguese pressing of Telex's 1979 debut. "Moskow Discow" set their template — repeating synth bass and mechanical voice. Alongside it sit flatly electronic readings of material already in circulation: Plastic Bertrand's "Ca Plane Pour Moi", Bill Haley's "Rock Around The Clock", the French "Twist À Saint Tropez". By carrying the translation of rock and chanson into synthesiser through to the end, the Belgian trio arrived somewhere neither Kraftwerk nor Yellow Magic Orchestra stood. Their starting point.
