Soft Space is the second album released in 1978 by the Jeff Lorber Fusion, led by fusion pioneer Jeff Lorber. Featuring legendary pianist Chick Corea and renowned saxophonist Joe Farrell as guest artists, the album unfolds with sophisticated jazz-fusion sounds. The title track, "Soft Space," in particular, combines a dreamlike atmosphere with extensive use of synthesizers and complex improvisation. A masterpiece of 70s fusion, Lorber's inventive keyboard playing drives the entire album, while the guest artists add further depth to the tracks.
