Rising Sons is a one-off unit by Damon Wild, who runs the Synewave label and reigns as a doyen of the New York techno scene, and Tim Taylor, who runs the Missile label and is active as a veteran of the UK techno scene. Their masterpiece "Afghan Acid," released in 1993 from Experimental, a popular label representing NY techno at the time, is a work with the theme that soldiers in the Afghan conflict used drugs to alleviate their fears. This is a masterpiece of deep techno where minimal TB303 unfolds trippy phrases. Recommended!
