In 1985 Esplendor Geométrico, the Madrid group who had left El Aviador Dro to pursue harder, rhythm-driven electronics, started their own label. This 1988 compilation gathers the Spanish experimental underground around them. The first edition came in a white sleeve inside FENICI magazine, with articles, interviews and discographies of the artists; a red-sleeve second edition followed. Side A opens with eight minutes of "Japón Ignorant" by Macromassa, active in Barcelona since 1976, then a solo piece by its co-founder Victor Nubla, Orfeón Gagarin and Comando Bruno. Side B brings Jabir, Esplendor Geométrico's own "Avance Rápido", 32 Guájar's Fáragüit and Eduardo Polonio. A compact map of a scene that grew out of the cassette networks of the early '80s.
