Wild Rumpus is a unit formed by DJ Cosmo and guitarist Gary Lucas, who was also a member of Captain Beefheart's Magic Band. "Cloudhopping" is a 12-minute space rock track featuring psychedelic guitar overdrive. The B-side also includes a mix by Paul Murphy, also known as Mudd. It has been played by David Mancuso, DJ Harvey, and others.
