YMO's fifth masterpiece album. Haruomi Hosono, Yukihiro Takahashi, and Ryuichi Sakamoto wrote the lyrics, which Peter Barakan translated into English. In addition to the three members, Hideki Matsutake was in charge of composition, and Hosono was the producer. Hosono cited this album as YMO's best, praising its timeless sound and excellent lyrics. Takahashi also rated this work as their best, stating that it was the first time they were able to express what they had wanted to say in lyrics, that they were most particular about this aspect, and that the words and sound were well-integrated.
